About Us

Mokaya began as a quest for the world’s best brownie, using only the finest single origin chocolate.

We have won multiple Great Taste Awards since 2017 for our delicious brownies.

Inspired by Quality

Mokaya began as a quest for the world’s best brownie, using only the finest single origin chocolate.

After almost a year of recipe testing, we were satisfied with the results and Mokaya was launched in the summer of 2017.

Our efforts have been recognised by the Guild of Fine Food who have awarded us with three Great Taste Awards for two years running for the Original Madagascan and Pecan Salted Caramel brownies.

In short, we create edible luxury.

Our Name

The Mokaya people were the first to domesticate the cacao plant in the Soconusco region of Mexico and Guatemala.

We care about the source of all our ingredients and wished to reflect that in the name.

Our Chocolate

We use single origin chocolate made from cacao harvested from one plantation, ensuring higher quality beans and better tasting chocolate that is sustainable and fair trade. We use Madagascan and Colombian chocolate and continue to experiment with different regions.

Our Promise

Our brownies are made-to-order and handmade in small batches in our kitchen in London to guarantee optimum freshness.

We use locally-sourced ingredients and always use free-range eggs and British butter.
